Dr Jonathan Wright is an experienced General Practitioner and enjoys all areas of general practice. Dr Wright has wide experience of WorkCover issues and ongoing accident care. His special interests include ear examination and treatment of tropical ear, ear infections, wax impaction and suction clearance (rebate for Medicare card holders). Other interests include ingrown toe nail removal, menopausal symptoms and treatment, child health, ADHD and ADD, allergies, chronic disease management. and weight loss management.

Dr Umair Alvi General Practitioner

Dr Umair Alvi has special interests in men’s health, travel medicine, and chronic disease management including (but not limited to) diabetes, high blood pressure, heart/lung problems and thyroid-related disorders. Dr Alvi has developed an immense interest in Indigenous Health whilst working in remote locations including Mount Isa, Normanton and Doomadgee. He is also experienced in managing palliative patients.

Dr Ka Wai (Paul) Chan General Practitioner

Dr Paul Chan obtained his MBBS from the University of Hong Kong in 1996. He continued his training in Family Medicine and qualified as a FRACGP in 2005 and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine in 2008.
He has over twenty years’ experience as a General Practitioner in various clinics in Hong Kong. He enjoys working in all aspects of general practice with a particular interest in chronic disease management. He moved to Cairns with family in 2023 for a new adventure. In addition to English, Dr Chan is also fluent in Cantonese. He enjoys hiking, cycling and reading.

Dr Rob Beovich has been a family General Practitioner for over 30 years, and has worked in Cairns since 2012. He is now exclusively committed to providing a confidential, supportive Gym Training Medical Review Service for the Gym Community in FNQ. Dr Matheus Virgilio  is a highly skilled General Practitioner who trained in the UK. Dr. Virgilio enjoys all aspects of general practice but has a special interest in paediatrics and neonatology. He has been qualified for over 16 years, and has recently relocated to Cairns with family in 2024 for a new adventure.

Dr Kyaw (Joe) Aung graduated from University of Medicine Myanmar in 2016 and worked part time as Medical Officer before moving to Bundaberg in 2019. Dr Joe worked at the Bundaberg Base hospital for about 3 years before started GP training in 2022. Dr Kyaw received his FRACGP in 2024 before moving to Cairns Family Medical Centre. His special interest includes chronic diseases management and sport injuries. Dr Joe speaks English and Burmese.

Bernadette Rogerson is Psychologist who has worked in a variety of settings with families, adults, adolescents and children. Bernadette’s focus is on a range of psychological testing and treatment planning for mental health conditions, emotional and behavioural problems.

Dr David Harvey Clinical Psychologist

Dr David Harvey is a clinical psychologist who has worked in schools, universities and as an expert witness in sundry court systems since entering the profession in the late 1970’s. His role has included significant time in psychology based research and in the training of student psychologists, together with leadership roles in university based service centres. Dr Harvey presently focusses on the remediation of mental health concerns such as major depression and anxiety related disorders.

Dorothy Richmond Accredited Practising Dietitian

Dorothy Richmond (MBA, APD, APN, Grad Dip Educ, Dip Sustainability) is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with more than 20 years’ experience since graduating as a Dietitian at the University of Surrey in the UK. She has also gained an MBA from James Cook University in Cairns.

Her passion is to improve the health of her patients with a practical food based approach. Dorothy is also a qualified Chef, Food Safety Auditor, Workplace Assessor Trainer and holds a Diploma in Environmental Sustainability.

Dorothy works closely with your GP and other Primary Healthcare Providers as well as in Residential Aged Care. She is skilled in advising elderly patients, children and assisting patients through a weight loss and weight loss surgery journey.
